Neil’s animated, interactive story-tellings are popular with children and students of all ages. Having conducted story-tellings, talks, seminars, workshops, panel discussions and informal Q and A sessions at more than 50 kindergartens, schools and colleges in the country, Neil is always an in-demand public speaker.

His sessions are witty, insightful and engaging and, with an ALCM public speaking diploma from the London College of Music, he’s even qualified to do this stuff.

For kindergarten and pre-primary students, his Magic Suitcase series of children’s books always entertain. With a positive, environmental message in every story, the attractive, illustrative books are matched by Neil’s funny, animated delivery. Both Singaporean and international school students love his informal, laidback style and he returns year after year at book fairs and book weeks to open his magic suitcase once again.

For upper primary students, his NParks stories – Secrets of the Swamp and The Hunt for the Green Boomerang – celebrate the flora and fauna in Singapore. Through entertaining stories and anecdotes, Neil promotes the importance of biodiversity and conservation. His style is informal, but always memorable, ensuring that the environmental message always gets across. A passionate environmentalist, Neil is a WWF-Singapore ambassador and enjoys sharing his love of the island’s wildlife with students.

For all primary school assemblies, Neil gives a funny, insightful talk on creating stories, giving tips on how to write in a funny and engaging way. He uses examples from his popular Princess Incognito series for middle grade readers.
